Happy Thursday from Chekhov!

Happy Thursday Bagel Bites,

This week is doing that very Arlington thing where you can be wholesome and go out in the same 48 hours. Start with Rosslyn’s F1 movie night on Thursday, then Friday gives you two moods: Free Yoga Fridays if you’re pretending you’re balanced, or Pink in the Park if you want a real night out with art + DJs. Saturday is for treasure hunters (hello, flea market) and farmers-market girlies (Met Park is back), and Sunday is basically a permission slip to day-drink outside: Outdoor Masters Watch Party at Water Park. Also—restaurant news is strong: Maman is officially open, and Langston just got a new Brazilian-Lebanese chicken spot that’s going to end up in your rotation.

Scroll on to plan your weekend right.

📅 Your Weekend in Arlington

Thursday

🏎️🍷 Rosslyn Cinema: F1 Movie Night (Central Place Plaza – Rosslyn) — Thursday 6-10 PM
If you want a summer weeknight plan that’s easy, social, and doesn’t require a “whole outfit,” Rosslyn Cinema is showing an F1 movie outdoors—aka the perfect excuse to do blanket + snacks + one drink with friends (or make it an effortless date night). There’s typically a beer & wine pop-up (“Pub in the Park”) and food options nearby, so it’s less “sit quietly in a park” and more “hang out, people-watch, then watch the movie.” Bring a blanket or low chair and show up early to claim a good spot. Friday

🧘‍♀️ Free Yoga Fridays (MoCA Arlington) — Fri., Apr. 10 (11:00 AM–12:00 PM)
A midday reset in one of the prettiest rooms in Arlington: this gentle vinyasa class happens the 2nd and 4th Friday each month inside MoCA’s Tiffany Galleries. It’s free, open to all levels, and they’ll offer modifications—just bring your own mat + water bottle and note the rule: no late entry. Registration is encouraged (but not required).

🌸🎨 Pink in the Park: Art of Pink (Metropolitan Park – National Landing) — Fri., Apr. 10 (5:00–10:00 PM)
If you want a cherry-blossom event that feels like a real night out (not a daytime stroll), Art of Pink is an after-hours art party with 50+ local artists, a live mural competition, food vendors, and DJ sets—plus extra exhibit space inside Amazon HQ2 lobbies and MoCA Arlington’s studio. It’s free (RSVP encouraged), and very “go with friends, wander, sip something, take pics.”

Saturday

🛍️ Arlington Flea Market (Arlington, VA) — Saturday 7 AM to 1 PM
A local classic is hitting a milestone: the Arlington Flea Market is celebrating 40 years as one of the DMV’s oldest, biggest public flea markets. Expect 100+ vendors with everything from books and clothes to furniture, jewelry, and household finds—aka peak “go with a friend and hunt for treasures” energy. And if you’ve been meaning to purge your apartment: community members can rent a 9′×18′ selling space for $20 to sell used household items. Info HERE

🥕 Met Park Saturday Farmers Market (Metropolitan Park – National Landing) — Saturdays (9:00 AM–1:00 PM)
National Landing’s market season is back: Met Park hosts a Saturday farmers market where you can stock up on fresh produce, grab hot food, and browse local crafts—aka the perfect “coffee + wander + pretend I meal-prep” weekend routine. 📍 1330 S. Fair St. Info HERE

Sunday

🎤⛳️ Outdoor Masters Watch Party (Water Park – National Landing) — Sun., Apr. 12 (12:00–6:00 PM)
Sunday plans, solved: Water Park is putting the Masters on a massive outdoor screen with full sound, plus an on-site golf simulator trailer so you can take a few swings between holes. They’re also teasing a Masters-themed food + drink menu all afternoon, which makes this an easy “post up with friends, day-drink responsibly-ish, and call it a sport” situation. 📍 1601 Crystal Dr. Info HERE

🍽️ Restaurant News

🍗 Tio Pelé Opens on Langston Blvd — Opened Mar. 29
Langston just got a new chicken spot with a twist: Tio Pelé, a Brazilian-Lebanese joint serving grilled half or whole chickens (with two sides like hummus and fattoush) or sandwiches that come with fries + pickles. It’s from local operator Ramzi Iskandar (Iskandar Restaurant Group — behind The Block and Cloud Lounge), so it’s got “this will be good” credibility baked in. 3110 Langston Blvd., Arlington (Lyon Village). Info HERE

🥐 Maman Opens in Ballston — Opened Apr. 4
Ballston just got a new “cute coffee + pastry” destination: Maman has officially opened at Ballston Exchange, bringing the brand’s signature southern French vibes—think house-made pastries, savory sandwiches and bowls, and a stacked menu of teas and coffees that make it dangerously easy to “just pop in” and leave with a bag of treats. 4121 Wilson Blvd., Arlington (Ballston).
