Happy Thursday Bagel Bites,
It’s the MOST wonderful time of the year.
March Madness is officially here, and we're hosting our first-ever Arlington Bagel Bracket Challenge.
If you still haven't filled yours out, get in there before noon today. Top three brackets win an Arlington Bagel dad hat.
Plus, here are a few places I'd actually post up for games this weekend, and a couple non-basketball plans for when your bracket starts bleeding out by Saturday.

📅 Your Weekend in Arlington
Thursday
March Madness Round 1: 12:15-10:10pm EST.
🏀 March Madness at BOE (Clarendon)
If you want your Thursday watch spot to turn into a full Clarendon night, BOE is the move.
Happy hour menu
🏀 March Madness at Quinn's on the Corner (Rosslyn)
If you want something a little more low-key than Clarendon, Quinn's is a great Rosslyn move for posted-up game watching, a few drinks, and letting the day get away from you.

🍕🏆 Big Tony's Trivia Night (Clarendon) @ 7-9pm
If your groupchat needs a non-basketball plan, Big Tony's does fast-paced Thursday trivia with prizes and just the right amount of friendly chaos. The better part: their Thursday deal is pitchers + pies for $30, so you can split a pizza, sip something cold, and pretend you're only there for the competition.

Friday
March Madness Round 1: 12:15-10:10pm EST.
🏀 March Madness at Hyde Social (Clarendon)
If you want the games but still want the night to feel a little more dressed up than standard sports-bar territory, Hyde Social is a strong Clarendon pick. Happy hour runs Monday-Friday, 4-7pm, and they do live music Thursday-Saturday at 9pm.
Happy hour
🏀 March Madness at Astro Beer Hall (Shirlington)
Astro is a great meet-a-friend watch spot if you want plenty of room at the bar, an easy Shirlington location, and late-night food that actually holds up once the games run long.

🎶 Live Music - Ireland's Four Courts (Courthouse) @ 9:30pm
Four Courts is one of the easiest post-game pivots in Arlington. Watch the games, stay for the music, keep it moving.

🎸🍻 Live Music at The Renegade (Clarendon) — Fri. nights (time varies)
For a Friday that’s low-effort but still feels like you went out, The Renegade has a great live music setup on Friday nights
Saturday
March Madness Round 2: 12:10-8:40pm ET
🥬 Courthouse Farmers Market (Courthouse) @ 9am-12pm
My personal favorite market recommendation in Arlington for a reason. It's one of the biggest in the region, and it's the kind of Saturday morning plan that makes the rest of the day feel more organized than it actually is.

🏀 March Madness at First Down (Ballston)
If you want a classic Ballston sports-bar setup, First Down has 30 TVs, 50 wing flavors, and exactly the kind of game-day energy you'd expect. It feels like a place that that should still allow smoking indoors.

🏀 March Madness at Quincy Hall (Ballston)
Quincy Hall is the Ballston pick if you want pizza, a huge beer list, and enough space to watch games without feeling trapped in someone's bracket spiral.

🎵 Music Bingo - Punch Bowl Social (Ballston) @ 1pm
Music Bingo is one of those stupidly easy Saturday plans: drinks, snacks, low-stakes competition, done.

🌃 Skydome After Hours (Crystal City) @ 10pm
Live DJ, one cocktail included, rooftop views. This seems so cool?! And their cherry blossom themed menu starts this weekend too. If you’ve never seen the view, this might be the time to check it out.

Sunday
March Madness Round 2: 12:10-8:40pm ET
🥬 Columbia Pike Farmers Market (Pike Park) @ 9am-1pm
Your Sunday reset. Grab coffee, buy something baked, and lie to yourself about cooking this week.
More info🏀 Dudley's Sport and Ale (Shirlington)
Dudley's is a good Shirlington fallback if you want to keep the games going on Sunday. They've got 40+ TVs, a 20-foot projector, a rooftop, and posted specials like $5 off pitchers, $12 smash burgers, and $12 wings.

🍽️ Restaurant News
Wood & Iron just opened in Virginia Square
New sports-bar option at 3401 N Fairfax Dr with cheesesteak egg rolls, smoked wings, weekend brunch, and a weekday "Half-y Hour" from 2-7pm**. Very solid March timing.
