Happy Thursday from Amanda Martin’s dog!

Happy Thursday Bagel Bites,

Intro: Arlington is giving us a very specific type of joy this week: new things to eat and easy plans that require minimal groupchat negotiation. We’ve got trivia in Clarendon, a Full Send Friday option for the brave, and Saturday’s Super Art Fight (live art battle + comedy + yelling encouraged). Sunday brings the cleanse: farmers market + main character walk. Oh—and two new spots are on deck, including Call Your Mother and a new game-day hangout you’ll want bookmarked.

Scroll on to plan your weekend right.

📅 Your Weekend in Arlington

Thursday

🥟 District Trivia Night (Bar Bao – Clarendon) — Thu. nights (7:00 PM)
The easiest “we should do something this week” plan: District Trivia at Bar Bao. It’s a big crowd in Clarendon (they literally tell you to get there early), so show up a little ahead of 7, grab a drink, split some bao, and let the most competitive friend in your group become temporarily insufferable. FREE

Friday

🪩 Full Send Fridays (Clarendon Ballroom) — Fri., Feb. 27 (9 PM - 2 AM)
If your Friday plans are trending “we want to go out out,” Clarendon Ballroom is doing their weekly Full Send Fridays: multiple rooms, high-energy DJs, packed dance floors, and the kind of night that turns “just one drink” into a whole situation. They’re offering free RSVP, so you can commit without committing—then decide how “full send” you’re feeling when you get there. FREE

Saturday

🎨🥊 Super Art Fight (Look Arlington Pop-Up Gallery) — Sat., Feb. 28 (7:00–9:00 PM)
If you want a Saturday night plan that’s actually different, this is it: Super Art Fight is a live, improv-style art battle where artists go head-to-head on a giant canvas while two hosts keep things moving and the Wheel of Death throws curveballs every few minutes. The best part? You decide the winner—crowd noise is literally measured to crown the champ (so yes, yelling is encouraged). It’s part comedy show, part art show, and very “bring a friend who loves chaos.” Look: An Unexpected Arts Experience, 3130 Langston Blvd. FREE

Sunday

🥕 Columbia Pike Farmers Market (Pike Park) — Sun. (9:00 AM–1:00 PM)
Your easiest Sunday reset: coffee in hand, a slow lap around Pike Park, and suddenly you’re the kind of person who buys produce and believes you’ll cook this week. The Columbia Pike Farmers Market runs every Sunday, 9–1 right at Pike Park (by the Walgreens at Columbia Pike & S. Walter Reed), with local vendors and plenty of grab-and-go treats for the “I’m just browsing” crowd. FREE

🍽️ Restaurant News

🥯 Call Your Mother is coming to Ballston (Wilson Blvd.) — (opening date TBD)
Ballston’s former Starbucks spot is getting a much better use: Call Your Mother (the wildly popular “Jew-ish” deli with the very cute pink vibes) is moving in at 4000 Wilson Blvd. No official opening date yet—Call Your Mother is calling it “soon-ish”—but the plan is a full menu situation: bagels, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and the kind of stacked sandwiches you order once and think about for the rest of the day. RIP to the espresso line; hello to the carb line. FREE

🏈🍻 Wood & Iron Gameday is coming to Virginia Square — (opening date TBD, targeting mid-Feb.)
A new “watch the game but also eat well” spot is headed to Virginia Square: Wood & Iron, the Richmond-based sports bar with a scratch-kitchen menu, craft beer, and lots of TVs/game-day energy. They’re aiming for a mid-February opening in Arlington, and they’ve been in full “opening soon” mode (including hiring). File this under: perfect for a low-stakes girls’ night when you want wings + vibes without committing to a whole production. Info HERE
