Happy Thursday Bagel Bites,
Back for another week, and Arlington’s food scene is making noise. The biggest headline is the arrival of Tony Boloney’s in Rosslyn, bringing cult-favorite pizza, cheesesteaks, and Mad Mutz to the DMV for the first time. Falls Church Restaurant Week is still rolling, Café Colline is serving a very cozy bowl of soup de poisson, and there are plenty of easy plans to mix in between meals — think Thursday trivia, Astro Beer Hall happy hour and late-night deals, an artist talk on Saturday, and a full-on coffee shop rave on Sunday. A very good week to eat boldly and get out a little.
Scroll on to plan your weekend right.

🍽️ Restaurant News
🍽️ Falls Church Restaurant Week (Jan. 23 to Feb. 1)
Falls Church Restaurant Week has seriously leveled up. After launching in 2024, the Little City’s dining week now includes more than 60 participating restaurants, with deals ranging from bubble tea and casual bites to three-course, white-tablecloth meals. Even better, it overlaps with Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week and Alexandria Restaurant Week, and some spots are participating in both, which means longer windows for discounts if you plan it right. If you’re in the mood to eat your way through something new, this is a great stretch to do it. Info HERE
🍲 Soup de Poisson at Café Colline
If you’re craving something deeply comforting this winter, Café Colline’s soup de poisson is the move. Chef Brendan L’Etoile’s Marseille-style stew starts with a rich fish stock layered with ginger, garlic, fennel, tomatoes, orange peel, brandy, and pastis, then gets puréed with potatoes into a piping-hot bisque. It’s finished with paprika, saffron aioli, shredded Gruyere, and toast for dunking, which is essential. Find it at 4536 Langston Blvd. in the Lee Heights Shops and consider this your cold-weather order. Info HERE
🍕 Tony Boloney’s at Upside on Moore (Now Open)
A cult-favorite pizzeria and cheesesteak spot has landed in Arlington. Tony Boloney’s, which started in Atlantic City and grew into a national brand (you may recognize it from Shark Tank in 2025), opened its first DMV location on January 27 inside Upside on Moore. The menu goes big, with their famous Mad Mutz Sticks in multiple flavors, plus loaded cheesesteaks and pizzas by the slice or whole pie. One standout to know about is the Swamperoni, topped with pink vodka sauce, smoked cup and char pepperoni, fresh mozzarella, smoked mozzarella, and roni ranch. Find it at 700 N. Moore St. in Rosslyn and come hungry. Info HERE
